On Wednesday the 22nd of August our butchers, bakers and cocktail makers were out in full force to showcase what they had to offer us. As Mission Mars’ biggest ever Meet the Maker event, hosted in the gorgeous Grade II listed Albert Hall. Our Mission Mars teams, along with friends and family, took advantage of the array of products on offer from our favourite suppliers. With everything from charcuterie to vodka available, we had representatives from every level of our supply chain spoiling us.

Whether our staff were in it for the gorgeous free organic produce from our friends at Noone & Sons or a free tipple (or two) in the shape of a can of Manchester’s own Shindigger Pilsner it was a great to see so many happy, smiling faces from every part of the Mission Mars family making the most of this unique event.

The highlight of the event was our first ever ‘Cocktail of the Year’ competition. Among stiff competition Tom Gilbert of Albert’s Schloss managed to wow the judges, including Directors Adelaide Winter and Menesh Modhwadia,  with his superb original cocktail, ‘Bad Apples’. Tom has won the trip of a lifetime to Italy along with £500, what a lucky guy!

All this would not have been possible without Ruth Cole, Robbie Mills and Toby Wilson: a big thanks for delivering this special day for all of us at Mission Mars.
