Last Wednesday saw the return of the annual Mission Mars football tournament.
Every year we gather at Powerleague Manchester in Ardwick to have a proper good kick about and encourage some healthy competition between our venues.
It’s not just our venues who play though, we also put the Central Support team through their paces and invite friends of the business along too – this year we were joined by the Business Growth Fund.
After a heated first round, the knockout stages arrived with a bang – and there was plenty of support from team members who’d made the journey down to support their venue.
The tournament concluded with a head-to-head between Central Support and The BGF. Central Support were pipped to the post during a penalty shoot-out but still left happy with their goalie Ant Williams securing goalkeeper of the tournament.
After the game was over, all the participants and supporters headed for a boogie down in Deaf Institute’s basement. We can’t wait til next year.
