Every year we set aside one day of pure fun and enjoyment where we all get together with our special ones, friends, kids, dogs, you name it they’re invited! On the 1^st August Didsbury Sports Ground played host, once again, to the annual Mission Mars Summer BBQ. The whole Mission Mars family along with their friends in tow set off for everyone’s favourite event of the year!

SMILES ALL ROUND

Despite the buckets of rain which poured from the Manc heavens this didn’t put a dampener (excuse the pun) on our day. This year’s entertainment saw the return of the Mission Mars Bake Off (hosted by our very own Miss Blair), a spectacular Dog Show and the new edition of the Bucking Bronco! A huuuge thanks to our Head of Entertainment Sophie Bee for organizing all the amusements!

WORLD-CLASS FOOD & DRINKS

Our Operations Director Menesh and Stock Manager Robbie provided yet another year of amazing refreshments, including an ice cream van for all the kids (big kids included). James Hart, Anthony Shirley and Carl Chappell from our incredible food team served up some stonking food, including Gary’s (Head Chef at Gorilla) famous vegan curry! Whilst our friends at Northern Monk, YES and many many more delighted us with their alcoholic beverages.

FAMILY-FRIENDLY FUN

Our families and friends, personal and work-related all joined in the festivities and made the most typical British Summer weather. The kids got to enjoy exploring the grounds and playing the fair games, while the adults took advantage of the glitter station and Camden Beer van. We can’t continue without stopping to thank superstar Director’s Assistant Ruth Cole, for organising yet another amazing Summer BBQ.

Thank you to everyone who attended this year’s BBQ it was the best yet and we know there were quite a few sore heads around the next day! Roll on next year’s, and maybe keep your rain dancing to a minimum!
